Vancouver April 26th 1890

A Special Meeting of the Council was held at 3 PM on Saturday the 26th day of April for the reading of the Liquor License By Law the second time and for its consideration in Committee of the Whole.

Present His Worship the Mayor and the full Board of Aldermen.

Moved by Ald. Horne seconded by Ald. Costello. That the Liquor License By Law be now read a second time by the title only. Carried.

Moved by Ald. Browning seconded by Ald. Horne. That this Council do now go into Committee of the Whole on the Liquor License By Law. Carried.

His Worship nominated Ald. Garden as the Chairman of the Committee who thereupon took the Chair and asked that the By Law be read and considered clause by clause.

The By Law was then considered by clause by clause and the necessary arrangements made.

The Committee rose, his Worship resumed the Chair and the By Law was reported complete.

Moved by Ald. Carrall seconded by Ald. Sentell that the By Law be read a third time on Monday May 5th and that it received one day publication in a daily newspaper prior to that date. Carried.

The Council then adjourned.
