Council guarantees payment from By-Law Nos. 155, 168 – April 28, 1893

A special meeting to go over the debt guarantee as amended in By-Law 168, and to finalize the Plumbing By-Law.
C.F. Hutchings appointed Electric Inspector at a salary of one Dollar per year.

Vancouver 28th April 1893

The Council met on Friday 28th April 1893
Present, His Worship the Mayor, Aldermen Anderson. Salisbury, Hackett, Collins, McCraney, Hobson, Franklin and Fowler.

Moved by Alderman Collins, seconded by Alderman Franklin
That the By-Law to Guarantee the payment of the debt to be created under By-Law No. 155 as amended by By-Law No. 168 to read a first time.

Moved by Alderman Collins, seconded by Alderman Fowler
That the rules be suspended and the By-Law read a second time.
Carried

The Council went into Committee of the whole for the consideration of the By-Law.
Alderman Salisbury in the chair.

The By-Law was then read a third time on the motion of Alderman McCraney seconded by Alderman Collins

Moved by Alderman Collins seconded by Alderman Hobson, that the Amendments to the Health By-Law be read a first time.
Carried

Moved by Alderman McCraney seconded by Alderman Collins that the By-Law be read a second time. Carried

The Council went into Committee of the whole
Alderman Salisbury in the chair

By-Law was read over clause by clause and reported to Council as complete, with amendments.
It was then read a third time and on motion of Alderman Collins seconded by Alderman Salsbury.

The Council then went into Committee of the whole for the Consideration of the plumbing By Law
On the Motion of Alderman McCraney seconded by Alderman Collins.

By Law was read of over clause by clause and reported to the Council as complete with amendments
It was the read a third time on motion of Alderman McCraney seconded by Alderman Collins.

Moved by Alderman Franklin seconded by Alderman Collins that C.F. Hutchings be appointed Electric Inspector under provisions of By-Law No 143 at a salary of one Dollar per year.
Carried

The Council then adjourned.
