The roof of the Market Hall also needed repairs. There was much discussion about tenders received for building a reservoir in Stanley Park.

1st December 1893
A Special meeting of the Council was held on Friday December 1st at 10 a. m. for the purpose of considering the building of the Reservoir and other business. Present His Worship the Mayor, and Aldermen Anderson, Salsbury, McCraney, Cargil, Hackett Towler, Collins, Brown + Hobson.
The Minutes of the Fire Water + Light Committee were read.
Moved by Alderman Hackett seconded by Alderman Salsbury that the Report be adopted with the exception of retaining McDonald’s cheque.

From R. G. Tatlow on behalf of the Park Commissioner asking for the appropriation for repairing the road around Stanley Park.

That a sum not exceeding $700.00 be placed to the credit of the Park Commissioners.
