Several new by-laws formed – December 11, 1891

Several by-laws were completed: Vagrancy, Bread, Guns etc., Pound, Market, Liquor, Fire Limit & Trades License. Use of the Market Hall was granted for the 26th of December to hold a concert in aid of the Alexandra Hospital.

Vancouver December 11th, 1891
An adjourned meeting of the Council was held on Friday December 11th 1891.

Present Aldermen Brighouse, Carroll, Scoullar, Templeton, Hobson, Wm Brown and Doering.

Moved by Alderman Templeton
Seconded by Alderman Scoullar
That Alderman Brown we appointed Chairman.
Carried.

A Communication was received from J. A. Fulton Secy of the Trades and Labor Council asking for the Market Hall for the 26th inst to hold a concert in aid of the Alexandra Hospital

That the Rules be suspended and the following By-Laws read a first time, viz Vagrancy, Bread, Guns etc. Pound, Market, Liquor, Fire Limit, Trades License

Alderman Hobson was appointed Chairman.

These By-Laws were reported Completed with amendments.

The Council then adjourned.
