Vancouver January 2nd1896
The Council met on Thursday January 2nd 1896 at 5 p.m.
Present His Worship the Mayor and Aldermen Shaw, Coupland, Gallagher, Queen, McPhaiden, Clandenning, Brown, Sanders, McDonald + Bethune; there were also present Messrs P. Bowler, Electrician, New Westminster; Eliott + Cowan representing the Western Heat + Power Co and the City Solicitor.
The object of the meeting was to make certain amendments to the electric lighting contract but no decision was reached.
It was then moved by Alderman Gallagher
Seconded by Alderman Coupland,
That the Council stand adjourned until Friday the 3rd inst at 5 p.m.
