A special meeting of the Council was held on
Wednesday, July 13th 1892

Present: His Worship, the Mayor and Aldermen Anderson, Connon,
Collins, Scoullar, McGuigan, McCraney, Franklin, Mills and Gavin.

Moved by Alderman McGuigan
Seconded by Alderman Gavin

That Dr. Harold be temporarily appointed Municipal Health Officer at a total salary of $20.00 per day including his present duties in order to carry out the regulations issued by the Lieutenant Governor passed on the 11th of July 1892.

That the new hospital be used as a quarantine for suspects.
