Vancouver June 21st 1893

The Council met on Wednesday June 21st 1893. Present Alderman Salsbury, Anderson, Collins, Hackett, Cargill, McCraney, Hobson, Franklin, Brown and Towler.

Moved by Alderman Collins
Seconded by “ Towler
That Alderman Salsbury be appointed Chairman.
Carried

Moved by Alderman Franklin
Seconded by “ Hackett
That the action of the F. W. + L. Committee in recommending for acceptance the amended tender of the B. C. Iron Works for the supplying of a submerged main at 3 cts a lb. all delivered in Vancouver be approved of by this Council, said pipes to be delivered not later than the 15th of August.

Consideration of By-Laws

Moved by Alderman Franklin
Second by “ Collins
That the Council go into Committee of the Whole to resume the reading of the Fire Limit By-Law.
Carried

Aldermen Collins was appointed Chairman

The By-Law was read over clause by clause and reported to Council as complete with amendments.
It was then read a 3rd time on motion of Alderman Collins seconded by Ald. Franklin.

That the By-Law to regulate water rates be read a 2nd time.
Carried

The Council went into Committee of the Whole for its consideration, Alderman Franklin in the Chair.
Several clauses of the By-Law were read and the Committee rose to report progress and asked leave to sit again.

The Council then adjourned.
