Vancouver May 6th 1887

A Special meeting of the Council called to consider Water Works agreement was held on Friday May 6th 1887 at 3. P.M.

Present His Worship Mayor MacLean presiding Aldermen Alexander, Hamilton, Humphries, Lefevre, Lockerby, Mannion, D. Oppenheimer and Sanders.

Communication

From H. Schussler Chief Engineer of the Spring Valley Water Works Company San Francisco, giving his Report on Coquitlam Water Works Company’s Scheme.

Moved by Alderman Lefevre seconded by Alderman Lockerby that the City Solicitor be instructed to prepare agreement and By-Law to the effect that the Company be limited to an issue of $280,000 first mortgage Bonds leaving interest at 3 per centum per annum and that they be ready for submission to next regular meeting of Council.
Carried.
