Several requests for wooden sidewalks were granted on the basis that if the requesting party will furnish the lumber the Ward men will be instructed to lay it down. A request to name the lanes behind houses was turned down in favour of the current system of house numbering. Council required the Consolidated Railway and Light Company to make a number of safety improvements to the track over False Creek.
