The Council met on Friday Sept 10th 1897. Present Acting Mayor brown + Aldermen Townley, McQueen, Neelands, McPhaiden and D. G. McDonald.
Moved by Alderman McQueen
Seconded by ” McPhaiden
That this Council adjourn out of respect to the memory of Alderman Coldwell deceased and that the Mayor and Aldermen, the Civic officials the police and firemen attend the funeral in a body.

The Council then adjourned.
