A special meeting of the Council was held on Friday November 19th 1897 at 3pm.
Present: His Worship the Mayor and Aldermen Painter, Neelands, McQueen, McPhaiden, Brown, Bethune and D.G. McDonald.
The object of the meeting was to consider proposed alterations on the roof of the MacKinnon Block.
Moved by Alderman McQueen; Seconded by Alderman Bethune
After having heard the explanations of the Architect in reference to the MacKinnon Block be it resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the Chairman of the board of Works and City Engineer to see that the public safety is properly safeguarded. Carried.
The Council then adjourned.
