Council informed some Toronto investors that the city of Vancouver would not give them a bonus for building a bicycle factory, only a tax exemption for a limited number of years.
The Smelter Committee reported, “[it] does not feel justified in recommending Mr Selover’s proposal to the serious consideration of the City Council at the present time.”
